AskMate AI is an innovative educational app designed to simplify the process of note-taking and assignment completion for students. Users can upload files, video links, and question papers, and the app will generate concise notes and answers, making studying more efficient and less time-consuming.

Project Overview

Challenge

Students often spent countless hours taking notes from large PDFs or lengthy videos. Writing short answers required extensive research, and preparing from previous years' question papers was a time-consuming task. There was a need for an efficient and user-friendly solution to these problems.

Solution

We developed a mobile app with features that allowed users to upload files, Youtube videos, URLs, and question papers, and receive instant answers and notes. Our app utilized GPT technology for answering queries and generating notes, and a robust backend to store all data for future reference.

Outcome

AskMate AI significantly reduced the time students spent on note-taking and assignment completion. It provided quick and accurate answers to their questions, largely increasing study efficiency. A seamless and user-friendly interface enhanced the overall learning experience for students.

Our development process for AskMate AI followed a systematic approach from planning to deployment. We emphasized usability, efficiency, and scalability, leveraging React Native and Python for a robust backend and user-friendly mobile app, hosted on AWS.

We conducted in-depth discussions to outline the essential features and user needs. Our roadmap included milestones for each feature, focusing on file upload capabilities, backend functionalities for chat and question papers, and integration with GPT.

We designed an intuitive and responsive UI using wireframes and prototypes, ensuring easy navigation for students. User experience was a primary focus, and we iteratively improved the design based on user feedback.
